Our Artisans
Our jewellery making workshops are run by a team of highly skilled and talented master beadwork artisans.
Yolanda Ginya
Yolanda started beading in 2014. Artistry and creativity runs in her family. Her late grandmother was a master-beader and her father’s brother was a sculptor.
Yolanda’s work is heavily influenced by traditional Xhosa beadwork especially in terms of the patterns, design and colours.
She adds her own flavour to each jewellery piece which makes them unique and versatile.

Sivuyile Dani
Sivuyile started beading in 2018. She comes from a creative family; her sister is a fashion designer and her late mother was a master-beader.
Sivuyile mostly works with ‘tantjies beads or ‘jobs tears’ as they are called. She describes her work as traditional Xhosa with a modern touch. Sivuyile says that her work is very much influenced by nature. She incorporates natural organic shapes, patterns, textures as well as the exciting and vibrant hues found in nature.
Sivuyile and Yolanda’s skills and experience will bring out your inner creativity and assist you with the technicalities of jewellery making. Their products will be on sale at the Stoep Designs shop.
